Dan Is Producing D Black’s Recordings of “Death Wish” and “Easy Way”
(January 22, 2004) We thank Candace, who posted news on our message board, and www.dblackexperience.com for the following information. Dan is currently working in the studio with D Black to produce his recordings of “Easy Way,” a song that Dan wrote, and “Death Wish,” a song co-written by Dan and Erik-Michael. D is also working on tracks with Billy Chapin (O-Town’s and Backstreet’s former lead guitarist) and Wild Cherry’s (“Play That Funky Music”) Rob Parissi. Most O-Town fans will recall that D Black was O-Town’s choreographer. Aaron Carter, C Note, Natural, Take 5, Brooke Hogan and Willa Ford also sought out D Black’s talents as a choreographer. Now D is focusing on developing his own career. He identifies James Ingram, Stevie Wonder, Axl Rose, Billy Joel and Lenny Kravitz as his artistic influences. D describes his music as "a hypnotic blend of rock and popular music with insane vocal arrangements. It's a different kind of soul music." D will be appearing at the AKA Lounge in Downtown Orlando on January 24th and on January 28th for the Universal Mardi Gras Wrap Party that is also being held at the AKA Lounge. He will be doing a full set on January 28th that will include his performances of “Death Wish,” “Easy Way” and another song that is familiar to O-Town fans, “Better Days.” Visit www.dblackexperience.com for more info.

Dan Miller Makes Surprise Hospital Fan Visit

(January 30, 2004)
Thirteen-year-old Danielle Sigman got the thrill of a lifetime recently when her favorite O-Town member, Dan Miller, made a surprise visit to her room at a hospital in Orlando. Danielle battles a rare blood cell disorder and was in the oncology unit when in walked Dan, followed by singer/choreographer D Black, with whom Dan has been collaborating in the production of “Death Wish” and “Easy Way.” Although Danielle has not been able to see the group in concert, she has been an ardent O-Town supporter since first seeing them on Making The Band and counts "All Or Nothing" as her favorite song. She says Danny is her favorite O-Town member because he is “soo cute” and was so polite when she met him a few years ago at a CD signing event. Danielle is a cheerleader with the MAC All Stars, a cheerleading team based in Orlando which recently competed and won at the Cheersport Nationals. Danielle's cheerleading choreographer, D Black, knew Danielle was a huge Dan Miller fan and asked Dan if he would surprise her with a visit. Being the sweetheart that he is, Dan readily agreed; Danielle had just finished treatment and was watching one of her favorite movies, “The Goonies,” when her idol arrived. According to Danielle's mom, Robin, Danielle was "absolutely speechless" when Dan first walked in, but "Dan stayed and talked with her for over an hour. They talked about everything from O-Town and their music to other music Dani likes (Red Hot Chili Peppers are her fave). Dan was incredible. He was genuinely caring, loving and concerned. He brought her a CD which he autographed, he signed a poster she had hanging on the wall in her hospital room that all her cheerleading team mates made for her, and he promised to come back and watch 'The Goonies' with her.” Knowing Dan’s big heart, we have no doubt Danielle will be seeing him again soon!
