UPDATES REPORTED April 1 - April 30, 2005

No April Foolin'! An Update from Dan!
(April 5, 2005) When word reached Dan that there were quite a number of posts at IO from fans requesting updates from the guys, he decided that it was time to send along a message to the IO Broadcast Network to oblige those who are hungry for news from Dan. So, here it is, straight from Dan the Man himself! What up dudes: Sorry it's been so long since I last updated you guys but I come bearing big news. Okay, are you ready?......I stopped watching Trading Spaces.....I watch American Chopper on Discovery Channel now and I don't know why....I don't even like motorcycles. I'M JUST PLAYIN......well not about liking American Chopper.....cuz I do.....but about that being my big news. FOR REAL THOUGH...... I took a long time after the group broke up just to slow life down and soul search. I thought that was important because with O-Town, the four years went by so fast and I changed so much that when it was over, I didn’t have a good grasp on who I was anymore. As you probably know, I spent some of my time songwriting for other artists but what you didn’t know, is that I spent MOST of my time working on songs for a new project. So, recently I went back into the studio to start working on a NEW PROJECT. We just started but I plan to have a website up and going real soon with all kinds of goodies. I’ll fill you in on the name later….trademarks pending. I will be updating IO frequently with all further details. I appreciate all the love, support, and patience. You guys are incredible. Erin and Bucko say hi…..well Bucko didn’t really say Hi…..we taught him how to roll over but he doesn’t get the whole English language thing yet. Talk to ya’ll later, Dan

Rich Cronin Diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia
(April 14, 2005) Rich Cronin’s official Web site announced today on its News page that he has been diagnosed with a rare and very serious form of bone cancer, Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He asks for your prayers for him and his family during this difficult time. If you wish to write to Rich, please forward all emails to Rich@RichCronin.com. MTV news reporter Brandee Tecson provides additional details and comments from Rich about this sudden turn in his life in this headline news item from MTV’s Web site. Most O-Town fans recall that Rich collaborated with Dan and Trevor on “Girl Like That,” their only submission to make O-Town’s second album O2. Those who viewed Season Three of Making the Band might recall the episode in which Rich appeared when Dan and Trevor are working with him on “Girl Like That.” Their excitement when Clive Davis approved the song for inclusion on O2 is unforgettable. Rich opened a number of O-Town’s shows in 2003. Many O-Town fans appreciated LFO, the band to which Rich belonged, which had a number of things in common with O-Town including their record label, J Records, working hometown (Orlando) and connections with Lou Pearlman. Also, one of O-Town’s managers, Mike Cronin, is Rich Cronin’s brother. A website called Rich Cronin Hope Foundation for Leukemia has just been started by Rich's family. Through the site, you will be able to make a donation, get updates on Rich's condition and contact the family. Additionally, one of our board members, Kim, is going to be participating in the "Light the Night Walk" in October. All pledges made to Kim will be given to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. You can make your donations/pledges here.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Rich and his family.
