“Faces” Building in Top Dog City’s Music District for Jacob’s
Loc
(July 28, 2004) Thanks also go to Heike for informing IO of a new building
that has been created in Top Dog City’s music district for Jacob’s
Loc, the “Faces”
building. Like the Globaldust map, the building is a way to show the world
the sort of fan support a band has. You may recall that O-Town fans united
and worked very hard to make O-Town’s “All or Nothing” building
the largest skyscraper in the music district, which earned them the award
for The Greatest Music
Fans in the World 2003/04.
Without the key indicators of CD and concert ticket sales available
yet to fans, it is important to find other ways to show our support for Jacob’s
Loc. Add a brick to Jacob’s Loc’s “Faces” building by
clicking here.
Be sure to follow the site’s rules that limit fans to contributing only
one brick per building per calendar month. No URLs, email addresses, advertising
or abusive language is permitted. Non-compliant bricks are deleted and the
contributors’ names are posted on their City Toilets page. Click here

Ashley Holds His Own In Popdirt Survey
(July 28, 2004) Even though Ashley has been out of the media spotlight for
a while now, while he is working on his solo album, the public hasn’t
forgotten him. In this
survey at online pop music zine Popdirt, participants' votes for Ashley
place him well ahead of others pop artists who are in the center of the media’s
attention with albums on the charts and movies theaters and all of press hoopla
that goes with it. Currently, Ashley is neck-and-neck with Mandy Moore and
Taylor Hanson and well ahead of Hilary Duff, Michelle Branch, Stacie Orrico
and Vanessa Carlton. Our thanks to scandalicious5 for alerting the IO community

Inside O-Town is Presented with Best O-Website Award
(August 8, 2004) The Craving
Dan Miller Group polled their members to determine which O-Related groups
and sites were the best in a number of categories in their opinion. When their
members chose Inside O-Town as the Best O-Website, the owner of the Craving
Dan Miller Group presented Inside O-Town with its Best O-Website Award via
email on August 4th, along with their congratulations. We gratefully acknowledge
and thank everyone who voted for us and thank Craving Dan Miller for presenting
us with this lovely award.
Ashley Receives Fans' Birthday Greetings and Sends A Message
(August 8, 2004) Debbie had an opportunity to personally deliver to Ashley,
the birthday greetings in the "Happy Birthday Ashley!" thread on
our message board. Ashley was so excited! He could not believe that there
were 12 printed pages of messages and started reading them immediately. Ashley
was so touched that the fans were still so interested in and loyal to him
even though he has been out of the limelight for awhile and he sends his heartfelt
thanks and love.
When Debbie told Ashley how much the fans were missing him and how anxious
they were to hear any news from him, he immediately asked if we would post
a note on Inside O-Town from him to all of the fans. She said, “Of course!”
