Fans Show Strong
Support for Jacob’s Loc
(August 11, 2004) We wish to thank everyone who has expressed their support
for Jacob’s Loc by contributing one or more bricks to the Jacob’s
Loc’s “Faces” building in Top Dog City’s Music District.
As of July 25th, Jacob’s Loc had received 29 bricks and was entered the
Music League in 57th
place. At the time of this post, we noted that Jacob’s Loc has a total
of 83 bricks. They will update the league’s stats again on August 29th.
According to Top Dog City’s rules, fans can contribute one brick per
month per email account to each building that they wish. So we encourage everyone
to contribute more bricks if you haven’t met your quota yet. Be creative!
You can contribute bricks in honor of a number of ways… the city you
are from, your favorite JL song, favorite member or members of the group,
etc. Fans have also created an impressive show of support for Jacob’s
Loc on the
band's page at Globaldust. In the short time that their page has been
up, they have entered Globaldust’s
Top 50 at number 43 and have risen to the number 2 spot on Globaldust’s
Indie Rock
chart. Again, we thank everyone that has taken the time to show their
support for Jacob’s Loc. We know that this means a lot to the band.
Jacob Speaks His Mind in an Interview with Inside Jacob’s Loc
(August 11, 2004) The IJL Crew knew there was a lot more to Jacob’s Loc
besides great songs with catchy hooks and dynamic performances. With this
in mind, we set out to dig deeper into the band's vision statement, music,
lyrics and more to find the heart and soul of Jacob’s Loc. We thank Jacob

Inside O-Town’s Message Board Honored with Best Message Board Award
(August 22, 2004) Ashley, the founder of the Erik
Michael Online Yahoo! Group, announced that Inside O-Town’s online
community earned EMO Awards’ title for Best Message Board. On August
21st, Ashley presented our message board with the award pictured at the right.
We are honored to receive this recognition and thank everyone who voted for
us. We share this award with all of our active board members whose contributions
of news, information, discussion topics and responses to messages posted create
the sort of online community that is enjoyed by so many.
Dan to Turn 24 on September 4th
(August 25, 2004) Dan’s loyal fans have not forgotten that we will be
celebrating his 24th birthday on September 4th. We have made arrangements
to have fans’ birthday greetings forwarded to him. Click here
if you would like to contribute a message to the collection of greetings that
will be sent to Dan for his birthday. The thread will be locked at noon
PDT on September 3rd so that the greetings can be forwarded to him in time
for his birthday.

(September 4, 2004) Dan and his devoted fans are celebrating his 24th birthday
today. We wish Dan every happiness and success in his coming year and always.
Through the almost 100 messages that Dan’s fans from around the world
posted in our birthday
greeting thread, it is quite apparent that his fans continue to wish him
the very best and look forward to enjoying the fruits of his labors in the
coming year, which hopefully will mean seeing Dan and hearing his music!
What’s New at Jacob’s Loc Web Site?
(September 4, 2004) Check out Jacob’s Loc’s new and improved website
here! A new banner features the same
graphic that appears on their official JL shirt, which is displayed for sale
on their new merchandise
page. An audio clip from "Whiskey Callin" welcomes visitors
to their home page instead of the “Faces” sound byte that used to
play upon arrival. You can view pictures from their show at The Casbah on
their Photos page. Their
Links page has been reorganized as well.
Fan Reports Jacob Sighting to IO!
(September 6, 2004) We thank IO Board Member Mahsa for sharing this photo
and info about her family’s Jacob sighting. Mahsa relates that her family
members, who are presently visiting Los Angeles, spotted Jacob at a restaurant
in Westwood last night. Mahsa, who had decided to remain at the family’s
home in the Bay Area, received a number of phone messages from her brother
about their sighting and he sent her this picture, from their cell phone camera,
of Jacob greeting her with a peace sign.
