Erik-Michael Celebrated His 24th Birthday on September 23rd!
(September 23, 2003) Fans worldwide celebrated Erik’s 24th birthday on September 23rd. Erik has given millions of fans numerous happy and memorable moments. From his soulful performances of O-Town’s ballads such as “I Showed Her” to his lively performances of R&B and hip-hop influenced numbers such as a crowd favorite he wrote, "The Joint," Erik has a gift for creating captivating renditions of the songs that he performs. His performance on the “We Fit Together” video, which was the only O-Town video successfully retired on TRL was particularly remarkable. He conveyed the sunny, cheerful and celebratory mood of the song with his expressive eyes, bright smile and sprightly moves, and revealed the song’s hot, romantic side with
his smooth and sensual moves. It is a perfect example of how Erik can capture and enfold his audience in the moods of the songs he performs. Many think of Erik as “the soulful one.” While Erik can be quiet at times, fans enjoy the fun side of his personality that they have experienced, including the times he has surprised concert audiences with a Mohawk haircut that he has hidden under his caps until the shocking moment of his unveiling. Erik has a reputation for being a fashion trendsetter. Fans always comment on his fashions. From sexy shades, hats, shirts, and jackets to caps, jerseys and camo pants, Erik always has something remarkable going on with his clothing fashions and haircuts. Erik’s devotion to his fans has won him a very loyal following. He has expressed his devotion to his fans through thoughtful acts of kindness. He faithfully wore the Dogg tags that were given to him by the original founders of Erik-Michael’s Road Doggs, threw his towels to thrilled fans at the end of concerts, and happily signs autographs, poses for photos and chats with his fans at every turn. We celebrate this talented, polite, thoughtful and friendly man who has given so many fans so many wonderful moments through recorded music, radio, TV, concerts and live appearances, meet & greets and chance encounters. We hope that Erik has a safe, happy, healthy and prosperous year filled with great times with good friends, family and loved ones and the contentment that comes from dreams realized.
