Jacob's Loc Announces New Show!
(October 15, 2005) The band announced on its official site and Myspace page that it will play a 9 pm show on Thursday, November 3 at Brick by Brick in San Diego, CA. After the recent departure of two band members (bassist Ryan Flores and drummer Mike Sylvia), Jacob revealed the group is pursuing a new musical direction which will incorporate more acoustic songs and the addition of a double bass and fiddle. In the Jacob's Loc forum, Aaron has described this show as being mainly acoustic, with Jacob and Aaron on acoustic guitar, Mike on keyboards and a new member, Lenny, on percussion/fiddle. The band expects to play 13 songs, including new covers and new versions of their originals. The Myspace event listing also mentions that this is a 21 and up show which will be filmed by MTV as part of a reality show, with more details to come soon. Jacob's Loc Returns to Brick by Brick!
(November 9, 2005) The band will play another engagement at San Diego's Brick by Brick club on Thursday, December 8 at 9:30 pm. According to their Myspace page, Jacob's Loc will opening for "The Honey Brothers" featuring Adrian Grenier from HBO's hit show "Entourage." Click here for more information on this show.

Jesse McCartney Has Been in Talks with Ashley for Songs for his Next LP
(December 9, 2005) In this December 6 MTV News item, it is revealed that, “Jesse McCartney said previously said he wants the Neptunes to help him move in a grittier, more grown-up direction … But he's also been in talks with Ryan Cabrera and Ashley Angel for writing contributions.” The article expounds, “The 18-year-old has been writing tunes for the follow-up to his platinum debut, 2004's 'Beautiful Soul,' since the summer. McCartney says his sophomore effort, which he plans to start recording in February, will reflect artistic and personal growth.” And includes these quotes from Jesse, "Lyrically it definitely will be discussing issues that I've dealt with in the last two or three years, whether it be fame, fortune, my travels or stuff that's happened in my personal life" … "I was 15 when I recorded 'Beautiful Soul,' so by the time this [new] record comes out — that was like four years ago — the material [on this album] will certainly ... have a little bit older appeal.”

Ashley’s Reality Series “There and Back” Premiers in January
