Something was different though when Dan came on stage with his guitar and a hat. He sat down and started to tell everyone that he would usually tell a story here, but this time it wasn’t about him, it was about Child Watch. He said he had the hat, and he was putting five dollars of his own money into it, and he was going to give it to a security guard to pass around while he sang, and he expected to get the hat back full of money to donate to Child Watch. Before he began “Easy Way”, Dan told everyone “Don’t mess with the hat,” and it was then passed around. All in all, $139.31 was collected for Child Watch. Trevor was last, and let everyone know that for the next three minutes, he was to be referred to as Will Smith. ‘Will’ sang Will Smith’s “Gettin’ Jiggy With It” before stopping and starting right back up (as Trevor Penick) with “Pass the Courvoisier,” and after a moment, the rest of O-Town joined in to finish the song.

When the solos were over, they all left the stage and came back out to do "These Are the Days" and “American Game.” We weren’t sure if they would perform that or not since it didn’t make the album, but judging by the crowd’s reaction to it at the show, it’s not making the album was a mistake. They wrapped the show up with “All or Nothing” and took their final bows.

After the show, All of O-Town was in attendance at the party held at the Roxy, a club in Orlando. They arrived at the same time as we did, and went in the VIP entrance (that turned out to just be another exit to the club). They stayed up in the VIP area all night with other performers from the concert, friends from home, and some random clubbers. Jacob was with a handful of friends from home and his wife Janie, and they called it a night about an hour after they arrived. Dan was there with Erin, and was bright and bubbly as usual, engaging in conversations with anyone that crossed his path. Erik came with Ashley and they both kept deeper in the VIP area out of sight, and Trevor stayed with a few of his friends all over the VIP area. Dan and Erin left shortly after Jacob, but Erik, Ashley, and Trevor partied on until the wee hours.

Jacob came out first and did an incredible cover of The Black Crowes “Hard to Handle” (originally by Otis Redding). He took his dreads down and danced and sang like only he can. His vocals were amazing, as was his stage presence. He had everyone rocking right along with him. Ashley was next to hit the stage doing “Semi-Charmed Life”, as he had on the O2 Preview Tour last summer. He seemed a little hyper and rushed as he sang, part of the time not even making it back to the microphone in time to sing. Although his performance seemed a bit karaoke-ish, the crowd loved him as always. Erik came out after Ashley and told the story of how he and his friends used to sing his solo choice when he was in high school. Steve Miller Band’s “The Joker” was a great choice for Erik and his vocals. We don’t know how many people knew the song, but he still had the crowd’s full attention.

It was great to see the boys on stage performing again, and so sad to see them leave it a mere hour and a half later. If the tour goes half as well as this show did, O-Town will have no problem showing everyone that they are a band, minus the boy.
