FRIDAY, JANUARY 30, 2003 - We woke up, and got ready, and thought we were going to be way early. Well, it turned out our map was wrong. We ended up getting bussed to the wrong golf club, wasting an entire two hours. We finally found the right club, so then we just had to find Trevor. Boy, was he hard to find, just let me tell ya! The golf course was five miles long and we must have looked for him for a good 20 minutes. Finally we gave up and just waited at a hole for him to show up. We were standing in this group of older people. Hardly any younger people were there, and if they were they didn't know what they were in for! While we were waiting, we had our gifts to Trevor in our hands. One was this card/paper/poster (I don't know what to call it!) that had Trevor in a golf outfit on it, and it was really cute. On the back it had a little note to him, along with pictures of us and him from previous events. And all of the older ladies kept asking us, "Now who is this Penick fellow?" And we chuckled to ourselves and said, "He's from O-Town!" And most of them said, "MOTOWN?" We responded, "No…O-TOWN." And they repeated again, "Motown??" and it just created this whole big loop of conversation, so finally we just said, "Yes, Motown." It was really cute. We probably explained it to about 30 people in 35 minutes.

We were still waiting for Trevor to come to the hole that we were at, and I looked out and saw people walking up the green. I said to my friend Heather (not IO Heather), "There's Trevor!" and she was like, "Huh? I don't see him." I said, "Okay, you see those trees? Look over to the right where that cute Afro is, and you'll see him!" So he finally came up, and we got a little giddy…ok, a lot giddy. He walked by to the other hole, because they were finished with the last. He teed off at the next hole and had to start walking down the green. We tried to catch up with him, and we finally got his attention and handed him the card. But I couldn't find our other gift. It was somewhere in the bottom of my purse. So Trevor said, "walk with me." We were walking along talking to him, while he was looking at the card. He read "We heart you." He looked at us and smiled, and his caddie (James I think.) said, "awww..." I was looking for the other gift, but I gave up because I didn't want them to see my camera.

Then Trevor saw the pictures at the bottom, and he said, "Hey, this is from the (TATD) video shoot!" It sunk in that he remembered who we are, and he said, "Hey guys!" So we were just walking along, we were talking about eating, and then we got up the nerve to say, "Hey if you have time, we're going to dinner, ok?" And he said, "Yeah, really?" We were like, "yeah!" and he said, "Ok, tomorrow or Saturday, for sure." He had to play again, so we kind of just meandered to the side. I finally found the other present. It was a framed picture of a golfer, except with Trevor's head. It was incredibly cheesy. And so we started talking again, and I told him, "I have another gift for you, but it's way cheesy." He told me, "no...cheesy is good." So he looked
at it, and cracked up. He gave it to his caddie, and the caddie cracked up. His friends were saying, "Trev, what is that?" So he walked over and shows it to them, and they cracked up! It was great!!

The rest of the day was pretty much the same. We would talk once in a while but mostly watch him play. He asked us if we were okay a lot, because it was so hot outside. He said (to Heather) "Man, you got to be hot! You have that shirt and that sweater on!" She told him, "Yeah, just a little!" We walked the whole five mile course, just talking and chilling basically. We took pictures with him too, the one of me and him, and then the one of him kissing Heather's cheek. That happened because Heather said, "Hey let's do something fun, like you can kiss my cheek!" And he said, "Fun? How about you hit me in the ass with a golf club!" Heather wasn't going to give up easily though and said again, "Or you could kiss me on the cheek." So he did it, and it was way cute!! It was such a great time. We also met AJ from BSB, and he was really nice. Then the day came to an end, and we said bye to Trevor, and we suggested dinner the next day. He agreed! It was only around 3:00 pm by this time so we went to get Heather's pictures developed, then we grabbed some food, went back to the hotel room, and had a good night sleep!
