I had heard there was going to be a red carpet entrance at Celine Dion’s opening night in Las Vegas, and decided to give it a look. I arrived early and was just roaming around Caesar's Palace, bumping into Tommy Mottola and other celebrities. I had stationed myself at the very end of the red carpet, however, some celebrities didn’t go to the end and just entered the show. I did not know exactly who was going to be there. O-Town, who are my favorite group, were the last people I expected to see. Lance Bass from N’Sync was there and he skipped the area where the fans were, but I didn’t mind that. There were a few celebrities who were cool but none that I jumped with excitement over.

All of a sudden people started screaming and I couldn’t see who had arrived since I was so far away. When I saw some spiky blond hair and a shaved head, that’s when I realized it was O-Town - I recognized them just by their heads! I was so excited, but I was worried that they wouldn’t make it to my end of the red carpet, so I needed to get their attention. Our local Channel 8 news was filming live right next to me and the reporter even tried to help me out by calling out for O-Town to come over. I started screaming their names and they saw me and slowly started coming closer.

This was my chance to take so many great pictures, but then my stupid camera battery died...noooo!!! I was so mad, but then they were in front of me. I asked if I could have their autographs and then gave them a hug…it was so great!!! But I had to get pics with them somehow. When they were hugging me they sort of interrupted the live newscast with the reporter and gave a shoutout to Celine, then they left and enjoyed the show. If you watched the show on TV there was a shot where the camera people pointed towards the audience and it was put on the big screen, and you saw Erik!

I decided to wait till the end so I could finally get a picture with all of them. When I saw them coming I knew I had to get my pic this time, but the publicist kept trying to take them away, saying they had to go.

Finally I caught up to them at the restaurant where the after party was taking place and got my pictures before they entered - one where Ashley does the peace sign and another where both Erik and Trevor pointed to my camera and smiled (that one didn’t come out very well).

It was such a great day and they were willing to take pictures with their fans altho their people kept taking them away.

You could see them in the restaurant ‘cause there were huge glass windows. They were just chillin’ with all the executives - it was so cool! I had gone to the red carpet not knowing they were gonna be there and ended up having a dream come true!
