Jamming to a packed and hyped crowd at the Freedom Hill Amphitheater near Detroit, the guys gave their fans another sensational performance. But to start at the beginning of the evening, due to some last minute notification problems, and courtesy of the guys, their management and the official fan club, not only did they hold the customary Meet & Greet before the show, but they did it twice before and once after! I arrived at the Amphitheater around 4:30pm and met up with Adrienne, Val and Von from KMT and a host of IOer’s!! It was so great to meet everyone! We took a group shot before Adrienne, Val, Von and I headed over to find out where the Meet & Greet was going to be held

The first one was kind of a strange Meet & Greet because it seemed like the Amphitheater security was really trying to be strict but yet they were disorganized. It was a double Meet & Greet with opening act Bowling For Soup and O-Town. It’s always so great to see the guys do the Meet & Greets because they are so awesome with their fans and so appreciative. Dan was really happy to see us and gave me one of his trademark smiles and said, “Hey, great to see you again, how’s it going?” I told him I was just going through the line because I had to follow the rules, but I was making mental notes for IO! He laughed and told me they would put on a great show so “make that mental note.”

Then I said hi to Ashley, who, every time he sees me, now says, “there she is!” Got my hug and kiss, thank goodness! Erik was next and he greeted me the same way and then said, “look!” and took off his hat to reveal his new Mohawk! I asked him to take his hat off again so I could get a proper look at it. I told him it looked much better than the last time and he laughed and said, “Yeah it was kinda bushy, huh?”

Jacob was in a great mood too, smiling and talking. Trevor was at the other end of the table and was his usual happy self too! There were quite a few fans in line and the guys took pictures, signed autographs, and gave hugs and kisses all around.
We got the chance to talk to Erin during the Meet & Greet and she told us she and Dan are engaged! We gave her our congratulations and asked to see her ring. She told us that Dan designed it himself. Let me tell you there might be a future in the ring design for Dan. He has great taste - the ring is beautiful. Dan came over to us and we gave him our congratulations as well. I told him great job on the ring and he grinned from ear to ear and said he designed it! Too cute! I asked them if they would mind letting us share this good news with you and they both were happy to do so! Make sure to let them know how happy you are for them when you see them next.

When the Meet & Greet was over, the radio station did a short interview and asked the fans to stay there so they could make some noise for the guys. When the interview concluded, the fellows went off to eat and the ladies and I went out to the patio area to mingle with the fans again. Opening act Bowling For Soup went on stage, and many of the fans took their seats.

Just a few minutes later, the guys came back into the Meet & Greet area and did it all again! This time it was a much shorter line as they were trying to make sure all the fans that had won Meet & Greets from the official fan club but were notified too late had their chance to see the guys. We were invited back inside to cover this Meet & Greet as well and got the chance to see more happy fans meet their idols!
