MTB Episode 6

The episode begins with a concert clip of the boys, followed by a studio shot of two girls named Brandi and Thais, who say they are two of O-Town’s biggest fans. They meet with two MTV representatives, who tell the girls they want the ‘inside scoop’ on the boys and that every day they’ll send the girls a new mission by e-mail.

Day 1 – Mike Morin leads the girls into the tour bus. Their mission for that day is to ‘break the ice’. The girls say they want to play a game to get to know them better. Thais explains it’s a board game, like Monopoly, but called “Getting To Know O-Town”. The bus arrives at the concert venue in Milwaukee. The girls have been given another mission – to “find something personal” backstage. After the boys have left, the girls explore the room, hoping to find a personal item. In the bathroom they discover some hair on the floor, which they think is Erik’s. Their next mission is to “get the guys to show some skin”. Still in the dressing room, they find some plain looking boxers and a pair of leopard-print ones. Thais says this doesn’t count – they need to find out what the guys look like in their underwear and that they have a plan.

Day 2 – At a Chicago hotel, Thais, wielding a camera, knocks on the boys’ doors beginning with Trevor at 7:06 am. He doesn’t answer the door immediately and she moves on to Ashley, who opens the door bare-chested and looking distinctly sleepy. Thais says she’s sorry to bother him, but the fans want to know what he sleeps in. The scene cuts to Dan opening his door. Dan wants to know why she couldn’t ask him in the afternoon and closes the door. Thais knocks on Erik’s door – no response, then on Jacob’s door. Jacob yells from inside “Please go away!” Ashley shows her his “Canada drawers” that he’s wearing underneath his warm-up pants. Dan reveals he doesn’t sleep in anything and says he’s going back to bed. Trevor also says he doesn’t wear underwear, and sleeps naked. He shows her his leg, says he was ‘currently’ sleeping, and shuts the door in her face, knocking the camera. Mission accomplished.

Day 3 - In Chicago, the girls’ next mission is to “get inside the mind of O-Town’s most elusive member – get to know Jacob”. Jacob is playing guitar as the girls enter a lounge area. They tell him they have some questions for him, the first being “what is your idea of a perfect girl?” Jacob thinks for a moment, then says, “my idea of a perfect girl is…blonde and in San Diego right now”, then continues playing while explaining he has a girlfriend back home who is also his best friend. Thais asks if he can tell them a fun memory of being in love. Jacob looks up and says “no.” Erik and Dan come in to tell Jacob they have a sound check, and Dan asks if the girls want to come with them. The night before the concert, Thais tries for a kiss with Trevor and Brandi does the same with Ashley, unsuccessfully. After the girls have left, Trevor asks Mike Morin if he knew what the girls had been asking them. Mike Cronin wants to know if it involved anything about the album or writing. Ashley, says no, they were told the fans wanted to know how they kiss. Trevor says he wasn’t going to do it but she reeled him in. He says Thais complained that it was short. Mike Morin says perhaps it just wasn’t very good.
