MTB Episode 8

The episode with the guys sitting in a small home theater, telling us they have made a special movie for the fans called “Hamburg With Cheese”. Ashley and Jacob are sitting backstage before a show when Mike Morin walks in with someone who will help them speak German to the fans. He teaches Ashley how to say “I like big oranges” and “my grandfather comes from Hamburg.” Jacob asks how to say, “What’s up” in German and proceeds to repeat “Wie Geht’s” over and over again.

On stage, the boys perform and address the crowd in German. During Every Six Seconds, girls are fainting and being carried out. Ashley tells the crowd he loves German girls, that German girls are beautiful, then proceeds to say “my grandfather comes from big oranges.” Backstage, the rest of the guys give Ashley a hard time about his mistake and Ashley contemplates being a different fruit each time he comes back to Germany. Mike Morin tells the guys they will have to take an ambulance back to the bus because of the crowds. The next morning, the guys have a group breakfast at a restaurant. Mike Cronin comes in to tell them they need to get going, and Ashley says he has to visit the washroom. While he’s inside, the rest of them pile into two vans, each thinking Ashley is in the other. They leave without him. Ashley exits the restaurant, looking for the vans. Realizing they have left without him, he goes back into the restaurant and is approach by a girl named Susan, who recognizes him and offers to drive him back to the hotel. Instead, she takes him to various friends’ apartments and they each proceed to each take a piece of clothing from him as a souvenir. Meanwhile, back at the hotel, Dan and Trevor goof around with some grapes stuffed in their upper lips, Erik tries to go out sightseeing and is chased by fans, and Dan and Jacob attempt to go out for dinner but end up running away from some girls through the hotel corridors, with Jacob losing a shoe.

Susan finally delivers Ashley to his hotel just as the guys are leaving for their concert. They pile into the tour bus and are followed to the venue by fans who have planted a tracking device in Ashley’s pants. The movie ends with the guys still sitting in the theatre, minus Ashley. “How did he disappear in the break?” they wonder. They get up and leave and a few seconds later Ashley comes in and sits down, wondering where everyone is.
